It’s Better on the Beach — Beach Meetup 2013The Allegria Hotel, situated on the pristine 3.5 mile white sandy beach of Long Beach, NY, also known as the Riviera of the East, served as an elegant and enjoyable venue for the Social Media Association’s annual Summer Meetup, aptly hashtagged #BeachMeetup.

allegria hotel, sma beach party, social media associationConversations floating around the exquisitely designed Londa Lounge ranged from “Let me see that Google Glass you’re wearing” to Twitter’s purported IPO to “What are your kids doing this summer?” to “Which social media platform will work best for my business?” and “You look taller in your avatar,” as the attendees nibbled delicious appetizers provided by the Allegria, sipped cocktails and listened to live music by the sea.

As this event kicked off our annual membership drive, many of the members renewed and several new ones signed up for membership which entitled them to a free drink ticket, and a chance to win a basket or prize provided by Lou Pizzileo, 1-800-Flowers, I Fly Trapeze Classes, Sueanne Shirzay Jewelry, Social Media Association, Allegria Hotel, and Girl Scouts of Nassau County.
